If you already have an interest in the great outdoors or just want to give something a go then we have some great suggestions for outdoor activities for you to try
The Arran Quad Centre at Balmichael is the place to head. They offer everything from 1 hour to full day treks for 2 to 4 people aged 16 or above. With experienced mountaineers and mountain leaders to guide you it is sure to be an adventure to remember.
If you have stood on the ground and watched people paragliding and fancied trying it yourself, then why not come to Arran and give it a go.
Flying Fever is based on Arran and offer one day Funday and Tandem courses. From there you can advance by taking a 5 days beginners course and a 6 to 10 day intermediate course.
For experienced paragliders there are a number of good sites around the island. The Flying Fever website has a whole section dedicated to flying on Arran
Arran has a choice of 2 riding stables.
For those not familiar with Geocaching, it is a form of 'treasure hunt' using handheld GPS devices to find a hidden cache. There are around 50 hidden caches on Arran from the top of Goatfell to the Co-Op car-park.

Kayaking on Arran
Whether it's with your family, a stag or hen party, a school group or even a business group they can tailor something to meet your needs.
They offer such activities as kayaking, climbing, abseiling, archery and, gorge walking.
For kayaking you could take part in a half day, full day or even a 5 day trip around the island.
For something different how about gorge walking. They offer 2 locations and the trips include exploring waterfalls, plunge pools and natural slides, it's sure to be a day to remember.
